University of Hawai'i quarterback Colt Brennan was voted by fans as the AT&T All-America Player of the Week for his performance against Northern Colorado last Saturday.

Fans vote for the award through text messaging.

"I'm happy," Brennan said following tonight's team dinner. "That's what's really cool, when the fans vote for you. I got a lot of love from the fans last year. That's really cool, and I appreciate it."

Brennan received 45 percent of the votes to beat out Appalachian State quarterback Armanti Edwards (37 percent), UCLA quarterback Ben Olson (10 percent) and Rutgers wide receiver Tiquan Underwood (8 percent), according to AT&T. Brennan threw for 416 yards and six touchdowns in the Warriors' 63-6 win over Northern Colorado.

The Warriors play Louisiana Tech at Ruston, La., Saturday.

The winner was announced at halftime during tonight's ESPN college football primetime college football game.

In December, four finalists for the AT&T All-America Player of the Year award will be announced. Fans will then get a chance to vote for the winner.
