WAI'ANAE
Students get 9 air conditioners

Advertiser Staff

Leihoku Elementary School students in Wai'anae will beat the classroom heat this season thanks to a gift of nine air conditioners from Mark Development Inc., a family-owned business that's doing loud and dusty grading work near the facility.

When the firm learned the old air conditioners in the school's portable classrooms no longer functioned, company brass decided to remedy the problem.

It seemed like the least they could do for the students, who otherwise would have to leave open the windows and endure grit and noise from the project outside. The company's work is being done on Leihoku Street, next to the school.
