Skate contest at A'ala Park

T&C Skateboards, with Blind and Ezekiel, will be hosting an amateur skate contest Sept. 15 at A'ala Skate Park in Honolulu.

There will be four divisions: 13-under, ages 14 to 17, 18-over and sponsored skaters.

Registration is free and will be held Sept. 15 at 8:30 a.m. Applications are available at all T&C Surf stores and online at www.TCSurf.com.

There will be an Ezekiel and Blind team autograph session and a skate exhibition featuring Blind pros Jake Duncombe, James Craig, Ronnie Creager plus Ezekiel pros Louie Barletta, Stu Graham and Jeff Pepper.

HUNTING, FISHING EVENT TO BENEFIT FOOD BANK

Activities for the 36th National Hunting and Fishing Day will be held at Kokohead Shooting Range Sept. 22 and 23.

Participants who bring a can of food or donate $1 will receive an activity coupon for trap shooting, archery, airgun or fish casting contests.

The food and cash donations will be given to the Hawai'i Food Bank.

The activities will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. For more information, call 587-0200.

BOYS AAU VOLLEYBALL TOURNEY IN HONOLULU

The AAU Junior National Boys Winter Volleyball Championships will be in Honolulu from Dec. 28 to 30.

There will be two age divisions, 16-under and 18-under.

Deadline for registration is Oct. 31. Cost is $695 per team.

Matches will be played at several high schools in the Honolulu area.
