Lots of sun, moderate winds should last the week

The weather outlook for the new week is much the same as it was this past week: A high pressure system far to the north of the islands will provide light to moderate trade winds, according to the National Weather Service.

Clouds and showers will remain mainly over the windward and mountain areas, forecasters said.

Here's what to expect for the next few days:

Today, sunny with isolated showers. Highs 81 to 89. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 70 to 76. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Monday, sunny with isolated showers. Highs 81 to 89. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Monday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 70 to 76. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tuesday, sunny with isolated showers. Highs 81 to 88. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tuesday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 70 to 76. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
