Kapolei ambulance building to be dedicated Monday

Advertiser Staff

Mayor Mufi Hannemann and the Honolulu Emergency Services Department will dedicate a new ambulance building in Kapolei on at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10. The station is located at 2020 Lauwiliwili Ave.

The 2,335-square-foot structure will house the Makakilo paramedics who are now operating out of a temporary trailer located on city property adjacent to the Kapolei Fire Station.

The Honolulu Emergency Services Department consists of the Emergency Medical Services Division, which provides paramedic services on Oahu, and the Ocean Safety and Lifeguard Services Division, whose water safety officers protect beachgoers on Oahu's beaches.
