Annual Ola Pono Ike Medical Ball set for Saturday

The Hawaii Medical Association will honor local physicians and community members at its sixth annual Ola Pono Ike Medical Ball on Saturday at the Sheraton Waikiki.

The event, which includes a silent auction, raises money for causes that better awareness about health issues in Hawai'i.

About 550 guests are expected to attend the event. Dr. Ronald Davis, of the American Medical Association, will give the keynote address. Honorees include Dr. S. Kalani Brady, for his dedication to community service, and Dr. Myron Shirasu, for contributions to the medical community.

The public is invited to attend the event.
