City holds dedication for ambulance station in Kapolei

Advertiser Staff

Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann and the city's Emergency Services Department will dedicate a new ambulance building in Kapolei at 10 this morning.

The station, at 2020 Lauwiliwili Ave., will house the Makakilo paramedics who are now operating out of a temporary trailer on city property adjacent to the Kapolei Fire Station.

The Honolulu Emergency Services Department consists of the Emergency Medical Services Division, which provides paramedic services on O'ahu, and the Ocean Safety and Lifeguard Services Division, whose water safety officers protect beachgoers on O'ahu's beaches.
