Ala Wai school gets visit from Air Force

Seven members of the Air Force will visit Ala Wai School today as part of a slew of events for Air Force Week.

The events runs through Saturday, culminating in a Thunderbirds stunt show over Waikiki. At Ala Wai today, fourth-graders will learn about what Air Force members do and get a lesson on aerodynamics from an Air Force captain.

Air Force Week celebrates the 60th anniversary of the military branch. Honolulu is one of only six sites around the country to be chosen for the week of celebrations.
