This time, though, he was joined by teammate Dan Kelly as both helped UH defeat Louisiana Tech in overtime, 45-44, in Ruston, La.
Brennan, who passed for 548 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for another score, was named WAC Offensive Player of the Week.
"They're so nice to me," Brennan said of the WAC. "I wouldn't mind if they saw some of the receivers on my team and the effort that they play with. Ryan Grice-Mullins had an unbelievable game last week. And so did Davone (Bess) and Jason (Rivers). They all had great games. Hopefully, we can start getting those guys some WAC players of the week awards."
Kelly, who kicked a game-tying 49-yard field goal with 1:34 left in regulation, earned WAC Special Teams Player of the Week.
Brennan won the honor last week after completing 34 of 40 passes for 416 yards and six touchdowns against Northern Colorado.
Kelly, who missed his two previous field-goal attempts, said: "I'm honored, but I'm still kind of embarrassed by my performance. Look at my stats. I was 33 percent on field goals. That's not where I want to be ever."
But teammates and coaches praised Kelly for hitting the pressure-filled field goal.
"I'm honored to be given that award," Kelly said. "It's something to hang on the wall and forget about now."
Against Louisiana Tech, Brennan completed 43 of 61 passes. His 43 completions set a school single-game record while the 548 yards were the second most in school history. He holds the record with 559 yards against Arizona State.
Brennan has thrown for more than 400 yards in eight straight games, and he has tied the NCAA record for most consecutive games with at least 200 yards with 28.
Brennan earned weekly WAC honors three times last season.
Idaho linebacker Brandon Ogletree, who made 11 tackles (6 solo), including two for a loss of seven yards, forced two fumbles and recovered one in a 20-13 win over Cal Poly, earned WAC Defensive Player of the Week honors.
UH linebacker Soloman Elimimian, who had 14 tackles, including six unassisted, was nominated for the defensive honor.
