Dollar Financial buying stores in Hawaii

Dollar Financial Corp., an operator of check-cashing, short-term loan and money order firms, said its purchasing 45 financial services stores primarily located in the Midwest and Hawai'i for $27 million.The Berwyn, Penn.-based Dollar Financial said it's already completed the acquisition of 22 of the stores located in Missouri, Hawai'i, Arizona and Oklahoma and expects to finalize the purchase of the remainder within the next 90 days.
Dollar Financial operates three of its Money Mart stores in Hawai'i. It also offers financial services elsewhere through its Loan Mart and We the People stores.
