White Stripes postpone fall tour, Honolulu show

By Derek Paiva
Advertiser Entertainment Writer

The White Stripes have postponed their entire fall North American tour, including an Oct. 10 Honolulu concert announced yesterday.

The White Stripes' official Web site, www.whitestripes.com, said drummer Meg White "is suffering from acute anxiety and is unable to travel at this time."

The band's two-month trek had been scheduled to begin Thursday in Albuquerque, N.M., and included an Oct. 10 stop at Blaisdell Arena. The Honolulu show would have been the Detroit-based garage rockers' first-ever Hawai'i show.

General ticket sales, which were to begin on Friday, have been canceled. Tom Moffatt Productions was the local promoter.
