Florida-based restaurant chain Salad Creations will hold a grand opening for its first Hawai'i store at 1102 Bishop St. tomorrow and Thursday, featuring more than 40 ingredients for custom-made salads, as well as prepared salads and a variety of soups and sandwich wraps.

The Downtown Honolulu restaurant is the first of four Salad Creations stores expected to open this year.

The second is projected to open in November at the Waikiki Shopping Plaza, followed by stores in December at Koko Marina Center in Hawai'i Kai and Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center in Waikiki.

James Han, a local Subway franchisee, purchased the rights to expand the chain throughout Hawai'i and has a goal to open as many as 50 franchised Salad Creations stores statewide within seven years.
