Maui Marathon Weekend begins Friday

The Maui Marathon Weekend begins Friday with a sports and fitness expo at the Westin Maui Resort in Ka'anapali and includes three running events on Saturday and Sunday.The main event — The Maui Marathon and Half Marathon — is scheduled for 5 a.m. Sunday. The marathon starts at the Queen Ka'ahumanu Center in Kahului and finishes at Whalers Village in Ka'anapali. The half-marathon starts and finishes in Ka'anapali. Packet pickup and late race registration will be at the sports and fitness expo.
The sports and fitness expo will run 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Westin Maui Report and Spa's Valley Isle Ballroom in Ka'anapali. The expo features numerous sports and fitness vendors.
The Maui Taco 5K Fun Run starts at 8 a.m. Saturday at Whalers Village. Packet pickup and late registration is Friday only at the sports and fitness expo.
The Run Forrest Run Front Street Mile is at 3 p.m. Saturday in front of Cheeseburger in Paradise in Lahaina. Check-in is from 1 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. in front of Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.
