White Stripes October show canceled for health reasons

Advertiser Staff

The White Stripes' Oct. 10 concert at Blaisdell Arena has been canceled for health reasons.

Meg White, the duo's singer-drummer, is apparently suffering from acute anxiety and is unable to travel at this time, according to a spokesman for The White Stripes. "We hate to let people down and are very sorry," the spokesman said in a statement relayed to promoter Tom Moffatt.

A total of 18 concerts, from a Sept. 13 show scheduled for Albuquerque to the Honolulu date, were affected by the cancellation.

Tickets had not yet gone on sale for the Honolulu concert.
