Hawai'i stock index lower as companies chart declines

The Bloomberg-Honolulu Advertiser Hawai'i Index fell 1.19 points as seven issues in the 11-member index recorded declines.The stock index's decline was led by Central Pacific Financial, which was off 62 cents to $30.93. Barnwell Industries slid 56 cents to $15.70, while Hoku Scientific lost 47 cents and ended trading at $9.73.
