Army to hold Hawaii meetings on Stryker EIS draft

The Army will hold five public meetings on the draft environmental impact statement for the permanent stationing of the 2/25th Stryker Brigade Combat Team.

The Army says the EIS includes analysis of all activities required to permanently station the 2/25th Stryker Brigade Combat Team. The public comment period began on July 20 will end on Oct. 30.

Before each meeting, from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m., information stations with tabletop displays will be available for people who want specific information from Army representatives.

The formal programs will begin at 6:45 p.m. and last until 9:45 p.m. and will include public comment. The public will be asked to comment on specific chapters. Comments will be limited to three to four minutes.
