Ewa Beach stabbing suspect released

Advertiser Staff

Prosecutors today declined to charge a 20-year-old 'Ewa Beach woman, who was released pending further investigation in an assault case involving the stabbing of her boyfriend early yesterday.

The man, 24, was stabbed in the chest with a scissors-like instrument after allegedly attacking the woman during a domestic argument at their Fort Weaver Road home.

The victim is hospitalized at The Queen's Medical Center with a punctured lung in serious but stable condition, according to police. He faces arrest for abuse of a household member upon his release from the hospital, police said.

Police had arrested the woman on suspicion of first-degree assault in connection with the stabbing.
