Hawaii donations to 'Cop on Top' aids Special Olympics

Safeway Stores and law enforcement officers in Hawai'i will raise money for Special Olympics with the annual "Cop on Top" program, running from 6 a.m. today through 2 p.m. Saturday.

The program features officers keeping vigil on scaffold towers at Safeway stores on O'ahu, Kaua'i, Maui and the Big Island trying to raise $10,000 at each of 18 locations. The program raised $250,000 last year.
