ST. FRANCIS HEALTHCARE FOUNDATION OF HAWAI'I

Eugene N. Tiwanak, who served as chief foundation officer and president of St. Francis Healthcare Foundation until his retirement in January, has been elected chairman of its 2008 board of directors. The St. Francis Healthcare System of Hawai'i subsidiary coordinates fund development activities. Tiwanak is currently president of Tiwanak Associates Hawai'i LLC, a management consulting firm. Also elected to the board were president, Sister William Marie Eleniki, president of St. Francis Healthcare Foundation; and secretary/treasurer, Monsignor Daniel Dever, former head of Catholic schools in Hawai'i. Other subsidiaries of the healthcare system are St. Francis Community Health Services (Hospice, Home Care, Health Services for Senior Citizens, Lifeline, Parish Nurse/Community Outreach, and Mobile Care Health Project); St. Francis Healthcare Enterprises; St. Francis Residential Care Community and Our Lady of Kea'au. Directors named to the St. Francis Healthcare Foundation Board for three-year terms were Myrna Chun-Hoon, Jerry Correa, Chad Love, Helen Richardson, Albert Silva, Cynthia Farias, Frank Hata, Sister Florence Remata and Arlene Lum. Sister Agnelle Ching, chief executive officer of St. Francis Healthcare System of Hawai'i, is an ex-officio member of the board.

KONA COAST RESORT

Liz Delos-Reyes of Shell Management Hawai'i Inc., a hospitality professional with more than a decade of experience with luxury resorts and spas, has been named assistant general manager for Shell Vacations' Kona Coast Resort on the Big Island. Along with assisting with overall resort operations of the 266-unit vacation ownership property on Ali'i Drive in Keauhou, she will oversee training and development for 120 employees. Delos-Reyes formerly served executive positions with Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows, Gaylord Hotels and Canyon Ranch. The company was named one of the "Best Places To Work in Hawai'i" by Hawaiian Hospitality magazine. Shell Vacations LLC is based in Northbrook, Ill., and is one of the nation's largest independent vacation ownership developers, with 23 resorts in seven states, Mexico and Canada.

KONA VILLAGE RESORT

Vidal Demonti, former restaurant manager of the Kona Village Resort on the Big Island's Kohala Coast, has been named the resort's wedding and event specialist. He has held management positions at Honolulu's award-winning Halekulani hotel, Hyatt Regency Waikiki and Sheraton Waikiki hotel. The 82-acre Kona Village Resort features 125 thatched-roof bungalows, lush lagoons and white and black sand beaches.
