Chileans in town for polo

 •  Women relish chance for race of their own

A team from Chile will take on a squad from Hawai'i Sunday and Sept. 23 in the International Polo Series at Mokule'ia Polo Fields on the North Shore.

Gonzolo Campos, Sazmuel Irrain, Pablo Villela and Luis Fernando Rez will be on the Chilean squad.

Gates open at 11 a.m. and matches begin at 2 p.m. Admission is $8. Those with military identification are admitted on a two-for-one basis.

BOXING SHOW SET

A boxing card is scheduled for Sept. 22 at Kalakaua District Park Gym at 6 p.m.

There will be nine to 11 bouts, with the main event being Kawano Boxing Club's Kainoa Oca-Kahuane, the 2007 165-pound Hawai'i state champion, against Pablo Martinez, a 2006 All-Marine Team member at 178 pounds.

Admission is $10.
