Find this fragrant hybrid ginger at Lyon Arboretum.

This fragrant ginger hybrid, dubbed Hedychium Apricot for the color of its flowers, will be offered for the first time at today's plant and craft sale at Lyon Arboretum. The hybrid was developed at the arboretum by horticulturist Bob Hirano.

Also at the sale: jacaranda trees, anthuriums, Hawaiian plants, jams and jellies, lei and more. Hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free. Take the free shuttles at Poelua and Nipo streets where they intersect with Manoa Road. 988-0456.
