Tennis: Gonzalez tops Robredo for China Open title

BEIJING — Second-seeded Fernando Gonzalez won the China Open today, defeating third-seeded Tommy Robredo 6-1, 3-6, 6-1.It was the first ATP title for the 27-year-old Chilean in nearly two years since winning in Basel on Oct. 30, 2005.
Gonzalez, ranked No. 11, is vying for one of the five remaining spots in the Masters Cup in Shanghai in November.
