Warm, trade-wind weather expected through week

A high pressure area far to the northeast of the state will produce moderate to fresh trade winds this week, according to the National Weather Service.

Expect a return to more settled trade wind weather staring today, and continuing through the new work week, forecasters said. What showers there are will favor windward and mauka areas of most islands for the next few days.

Here's a more detailed look at the next few days:

Today, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 81 to 88. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 70 to 76. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Monday, sunny with isolated showers. Highs 80 to 89. East winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Monday night, mostly clear with isolated showers. Lows 69 to 76. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tuesday, sunny with isolated showers. Highs 81 to 89. East winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
