Workshop tomorrow on transit-oriented development

Advertiser Staff

The city will hold a workshop tomorrow on the issue of transit-oriented development in Waipahu along the planned fixed guideway system.

The meeting will be from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Waipahu Intermediate School cafeteria and is hosted by the city Department of Planning and Permitting.

Two transit stations are planned for the Waipahu area. The workshop will look at the planning of homes, businesses and recreational areas around the stations and along the route.

Those wanting a say in the planning are encouraged to attend and participate in the process.
