Hawaii's Rainbow Wahine No. 13 in volleyball poll

The University of Hawai'i women's volleyball team moved up two spots to No. 13 in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association poll that was released today.

The Rainbow Wahine opened Western Athletic Conference play by sweeping Idaho and Boise State at home last week. Hawai'i (8-3, 2-0 WAC) embarks on a three-match WAC road trip this week with games at Louisiana Tech (5-9, 0-2) on Thursday, No. 25 New Mexico State (10-2, 2-0) on Saturday and San Jose State (6-5, 0-1) next Monday.

The Aggies debuted at No. 25 in this week's poll. Moanalua High graduate and freshman Brianna Amian is a starting outside hitter for San Jose State. Kamehameha graduate and sophomore Kristal Tsukano is the starting libero for San Jose State.
