Equal employment commission sues 7-Eleven of Hawaii

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission filed a lawsuit against Seven Eleven of Hawaii Inc. and its parent company, Seven Eleven Japan Co., alleging it disclosed an employee's medical information to a prospective employer who was thinking about hiring the worker.The lawsuit claims the company violated a section of the Americans with Disabilities Act that prohibits employers from disclosing confidential medical information. The EEOC claims the company had disclosed the employee had a health condition.
