Waipahu transit meeting will be next week

Advertiser Staff

A workshop on the issue of Transit-Oriented Development in Waipahu along the planned fixed guideway system takes place at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Incorrect information stating that the meeting is tonight appeared in today's print and online editions.

The meeting will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Waipahu Intermediate School cafeteria, hosted by the city Department of Planning and Permitting.

Two transit stations are planned for the Waipahu area. The workshop will look at the planning of homes, businesses and recreational areas around the stations and along the route.

Those wanting a say in the planning are encouraged to attend and participate in the process.
