University of Hawai'i-Manoa Chancellor Virginia Hinshaw was on the Hot Seat today for a live blog chat.

Hinshaw, who started her job in July, has much on her plate, as the university enters its 100th year. Campus security has been in the forefront. The university wanted to use off-duty police officers for added patrols; the police chief has opposed that plan.
