HECO completes Round Top utility pole, line repairs

Hawaiian Electric Company Inc. crews this afternoon completed repairs to a utility pole and power line downed early this morning on the 4300 block of Round Top Drive.Police closed the section of Round top Drive between the 2500 and 4300 blocks for about four hours. One lane was reopened at about 9:30 a.m. All lanes are now reopened.
Twenty-one HECO customers in the Round Top Drive area were without power between 3:30 a.m. and about 2:25 p.m. after a tree fell onto a power line causing a utility pole to tumble onto the road.
Darren Pai, a HECO spokesman, said efforts are under way to restore electrical power for one residence.
