OCEAN NETWORK

Kevin Robinson has been named chief financial officer for Ocean Network, the ocean-programming TV station on Oceanic Cable's digital channel 349, and Web site www.oceannetwork.tv. He was formerly managing director of Hawai'i Opportunities Group, a startup incubator, and retains ownership in that company. He has financial management experience as a founding executive board member with the Hawai'i Angels.

YOUNG BROTHERS LTD. AND HAWAIIAN TUG & BARGE

Young Brothers Ltd. and Hawaiian Tug & Barge has hired Jeff Chawenson as controller and promoted Raymond Stride to accounting manager.

Chawenson, a 20-year accounting veteran, is former controller at PCLender.com Inc., an account manager at Marsh Management Services, and has held various senior accounting and management roles, including vice president of finance, treasurer and financial manager.

Stride is former financial analyst and special-projects coordinator for Aloha Petroleum Ltd. and former strategic and financial planning manager for Starbucks Coffee Hawai'i.

Young Brothers provides interisland cargo service, with ports in Honolulu, Maui, Moloka'i, Lana'i, Kaua'i, Hilo and Kawaihae. Hawaiian Tug & Barge provides contract towing service, ship assists, barge charters and related marine services statewide.

HDS FOUNDATION

The HDS Foundation, the not-for-profit civic organization established by Hawai'i Dental Service to provide support for oral health programs in the community, has elected officers for the 2007-2008 period: Gregory Dwight DunN, re-elected chairman; and officers, Kaua'i dentist Dr. Clay HiramotO; Big Island dentist Dr. Garrett OkA, and Patrick LoO, president and chief executive officer, United Food & Commercial Workers Union, Local 480.
