LOS ANGELES — Terry O'Quinn was the image of modest calm at TV Guide's Emmy after-party Sunday night in Hollywood.

Seated at a table near the stage with his wife and manager, O'Quinn said he'd left his best-supporting actor trophy for the island drama "Lost" in the car.

"In a year, most people you ask won't know who won this award tonight," said O'Quinn, 55, who plays the mysterious John Locke on "Lost," which is filmed in Hawai'i.

IMELDA SHOPPING FOR SHOES AGAIN

MANILA, Philippines — Former first lady Imelda Marcos — known for her extensive shoe collection — left a hospital yesterday after being treated for knee pain and was ecstatic when doctors advised her to get some orthopedic footwear.

"Now I have the justification to have more shoes," a beaming Marcos, 78, told reporters.

EX-BODYGUARD DOESN'T TESTIFY

LOS ANGELES — A former bodyguard for Britney Spears went to court yesterday to support a sealed declaration about questionable behavior by the pop star, but attorneys in the child-custody dispute between the singer and ex-husband Kevin Federline did not call him to testify.

Tony Barretto, 28, arrived with a lawyer, but Family Court Commissioner Scott M. Gordon held only a brief open session before clearing the courtroom of everyone but attorneys for Spears and Federline to privately discuss unsealing documents in the ongoing case.

Also yesterday, Spears was dropped by her management company, The Firm, just a month after she hired it for the lead-up to the release of her new album on Nov. 13.

The singer married Federline in October 2004. She filed for divorce last November, and the divorce became official July 30. The two have joint custody of sons Sear Presto, 2, and Jayden James, 1.

Spears, 25, went through episodes of bizarre behavior early this year and finally spent about a month in a Malibu alcohol and drug rehabilitation facility.

HALL OF FAMERS ROCK AROUND CLOCK

AKRON, Ohio — Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Chrissie Hynde and Jerry Lee Lewis performed at a concert to benefit a local theater and celebrate the upcoming opening of Hynde's vegetarian restaurant.

Hynde, an Akron native and the lead singer of The Pretenders, presided over a weekendlong celebration of Vegi-Terranean, her eatery that will feature a blend of Mediterranean and vegetarian cuisine when it opens here in October.
