Clinics will offer flu shots on Oahu through October

Advertiser Staff

A series of flu shot clinics are being offered by Hawai'i Medical Service Association through the end of October on O'ahu. The shots are free for HMSA, HMSA's 65C Plus and HMSA QUEST members, and Medicare Part B beneficiaries; a small copayment may be required for other plans. There is a $35 fee for others (no checks or credit cards).

The shots are recommended for those older than 50; anyone with health conditions, including asthma, heart disease, lung disease and diabetes; or those who care for people with health conditions.

You can also get a flu shot by contacting your primary HMSA physician. (Clinic requirements: 18 years or older; driver's license or other photo identification; and HMSA membership card.)
