Ewa woman held on $20,000 warrant pending other charges

An 'Ewa woman is being held on a $20,000 warrant while being investigated by police for multiple forgery and theft offenses.

Margaret L. Alcos, 31, of a Halemano Street address will appear at District Court tomorrow on the warrant.

She was released today pending further investigation for possible indictment at a later on forgery counts related to possessing counterfeit currency and for allegedly trying to cash a forged business check of a Waikiki hotel to purchase items at a retail store July 10.

Alcos was arrested for shoplifting at a Waipahu retail store.
