Hawaii's east shores under high-surf advisory

Advertiser Staff

Strong trade winds have created rough surf that will linger around the 8-foot advisory level along east shores over the next few days, the National Weather Service said. The surf will be dropping to moderate levels Friday and moderate surf will also continue along south shores into the weekend.

The National Weather Service surf forecast calls for surf to be 5 feet to 8 feet along east shores today; 4 feet to 6 feet along south shores; 3 feet to 5 feet along west shores and 2 feet or less along north shores.
