Mililani library hosts 'how to get published'

The Mililani Public Library will host a workshop, "How to Get Your Book Published," by local author and book consultant Rich Budnick today at 6:30 p.m.

During the free one-hour workshop, Budnick will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of self-publishing, how to earn a profit, how to find a printer and distributor, how to get a book into bookstores and how to obtain necessary forms.

Budnick has written books including "Hawaii's Forgotten History," "Stolen Kingdom" and "Hawaiian Street Names." He is the founder of the Honolulu Writers Conference.
