Police seek information on 1991 Big Island killing

Big Island police working a cold case are seeking information on the 1991 killing of a teenage girl.

The body of 16-year-old Jonelle Auna was discovered in Kona on Oct. 24, 1991. She was a runaway from the Puna area, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Sharlotte Bird of the Kona Criminal Investigations Section at 808-326-4646, ext. 272, or the police nonemergency number, 808-935-3311.
