Hawaii stock index higher, led by banks

The Bloomberg-Honolulu Advertiser Hawai'i Index climbed for a second day, led by bank stocks.

The 11-member stock index rose 1.02 points to 102.60.

The increase was led by Central Pacific Financial, which rose 89 cents, or 2.8 percent, to $32.32.

Bank of Hawaii shares increased 1.7 percent by rising 89 cents to $54.34.
