Hirono to headline Interfaith Alliance gala

The Interfaith Alliance's annual Celebration Dinner is set for 6 p.m. Oct. 7.Keynote speaker will be U.S. Rep. Mazie Hirono, who will talk on "How Safe Are Our Nation's Freedoms."
Also, Cameron Kubota and Ryan Nakasone will report on their national interfaith youth leadership camp experience and four community awards will be presented.
The event will be held at Honpa Hongwanji Betsuin, 1727 Pali Highway.
Cost is $15 ($10 students, children free), includes a vegetarian buffet.
