SOCIETY OF MARKETING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

The Hawai'i chapter of the Society of Marketing Professional Services received its official charter at the national organization's recent annual conference in Washington, D.C. With its formal charter, the group has announced its first board of directors: president, Cathy Handen of Rider Levett Bucknall; president-elect, Michelle Skupin of Peter Vincent Architects; treasurer, Mark Tawara of Belt Collins; secretary, Gail Atwater of R.M. Towill Corp, and director-at-large, Howard Wolff of Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo Architecture. Nationwide, the society has 52 branches with more than 6,300 members from architectural, engineering, planning, interior design, construction and specialty consulting firms throughout the U.S. and Canada.

PM REALTY GROUP

Underscoring the value of its internship program with the University of Hawai'i-Manoa, PM Realty Group, a national, full-service commercial real estate firm, has promoted former intern Ian Clagstone to leasing associate for the Pacific Rim Division. Clagstone began in PM Realty's Ho-nolulu office in May 2006 while attending UH-Manoa. After graduation, he became a full-time broker/leasing associate in June, including serving as landlord's representative in leasing Downtown high-rise Ali'i Place. The firm also maintains other intern-mentoring programs nationwide.

The O'ahu-based PM Realty Hawai'i real estate portfolio includes 5.5 million square feet of office, industrial and retail space on the major islands, with a client base including Chevron-Texaco, A&B Properties Inc., The Shidler Group, Kaiser Permanente, Pacific Guardian Life and the state Employees' Retirement System.
