HONOKA'A
Day of Peace to be celebrated

The Parade for the United Nations International Day of Peace will hit the road in Honoka'a Sunday at noon.

The event is organized by the Honoka'a Hongwanji Buddhist Temple in cooperation with the U.N. and other groups and features island groups from hula halau to horseback riders to Taiko drummers.

The procession will go down Mamane Street from Honoka'a High School to a festival at the Honoka'a Complex. The festival will feature information booths, food and entertainment until 6 p.m.
