HALE'IWA
Help clean up beaches Nov. 3

Advertiser Staff

What's billed as the largest beach cleanup in the islands will take place beginning at 8 a.m. Nov. 3 at Velzyland Park.

Volunteers will comb more than 10 miles of beaches, including 15 surf spots and beach parks from Velzyland to Hale'iwa.

Many of the world's top professional surfers will participate in the third annual Da Hui/Wolfpak North Shore Beach Clean Up & Winter Makahiki, where free food and beverage will be available for participants.

Volunteers are asked to solicit sponsors, with proceeds going to the Eddie Aikau Foundation. Participants are also asked to bring a can of food for the Hawai'i Food Bank.
