'Lost' resurrects Libby character

Advertiser Staff

On ABC's "Lost," it's possible to come back from the dead.

Cynthia Watros' short-lived character Libby, who died last season as Hurley's sweetheart, is returning this season for Island filming. "Lost" executive producer Carlton Cuse confirms to TVGuide.com's Michael Ausiello that she may be in multiple episodes, in fact, presumably in more of Desmond's flashbacks.

"She'll be in enough of the show for us to fill in the missing pieces of her story," says Cuse. "We could not be more pleased. Cynthia is a smart and engaging actor, and (executive producer) Damon (Lindelof) and I have some very cool parts of her story left to tell."

It helps that Watros, an Emmy winner, is available; her fall pilot, "The Rich Inner Life of Penelope Cloud," hasn't been picked up by CBS.
