The 4th Annual GiRL FeST Hawaii Art Gallery, entitled "Legacy," will host an artists talk from 6 to 7p.m. at The ARTS at Marks. Those attending will be Kanaka Maoli artists Meleanna Meyer, Katie Kamelamela, Mikioi Wichman, Kamakaaina Seipp and local artist and documentary photographer Ed Greevy.

Artists have based work on someone they know or a female historical icon who has impacted their lives personally, professionally or politically. The subjects range from family members, prominent female leaders, teachers and other strong influences to enforce a sense of history for women through artistic work.

This year's gallery hosts established and emerging local, Kanaka Maoli and continental artists including: Meleanna Meyer, Ed Greevy, Alice Mizrachi, Kate Lopez, Jennifer Thorbjornsen, China Tamblyn, Kamaka'aina Seipp, Katie Kamelamela, Nikki Stevens, and Miki'oi Wichman.

GiRL FeST's mission is to prevent violence against women and girls through education and art. The 4th Annual GiRL FeST Hawaii multimedia festival and conference will take place Nov. 9-18.
