Lupus benefit: Wine, tastings, education and shopping

The 18th annual Honolulu Wine Festival Sept. 29, sponsored by Moet Hennessy, will feature wine and spirits pairings by premier chefs here: Keith Endo, Marc Anthony Freiberg, Hiroshi Fukui, Elmer Guzman, Kevin Higa, D.K. Kodama, Donato Loperfido, Danny Mangca, Randy Manuel, Jon Matsubara, Santa Miyoshi, Colin Nakagawa, Colin Nishida, Dean Okimoto, Russell Siu, Kele Smith, and Goran Streng.

VIP tables will experience a special tasting prepared by Chef Mavro, alongside an exclusive selection of Moet Hennessy's premium products.

"EVOLUTION: The Next Step in Food & Wine," also will feature wine education. A very limited number of tickets are still available for classes, the highlight being a Tete de Cuvee tasting of Dom Perignon, Krug, and La Grand Dame, with an unveiling of the first public tasting in Hawaii of the much revered Krug 1996 Vintage conducted by Roberto Viernes, Master Sommelier.

The event is 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Sept. 29, with a silent auction in the foyer from 6 p.m.
