Quick and healthy vegetarian: Class addresses modern life

Chef Leslie Asbhburn, a vegan macrobiotic cook trained in Japan, will conduct a class in quick and healthful vegetarian cooking at 7 p.m. Oct. 20 at McCoy Pavilion, Ala Moana Beach Park.Ashburn teaches at the University of Hawai'i and Kapi'iolani Community College, co-produces an online vegan and macrobiotic meetup group and helps prepare a monthly macrobiotic community dinner.
