  • Senior U.S. District Judge Samuel P. King and Randall Roth, co-authors of the landmark publication "Broken Trust: Greed, Mismanagement & Political Manipulation at America's Largest Charitable Trust" — recently named "Book of the Year" by the Hawai'i Book Publishers Association — will speak to a Young Business Council Leadership Series this month.   • "THE BASICS OF SELLING ON eBAY," a seminar providing new users the tools to be successful sellers on eBay, will be offered 9 a.m.-1 p.m. by the Hawai'i Women's Business Center.   • Rodney Moriyama, who as assistant superintendent of the state Department of Education, Office of Information Technology is responsible for IT in the ninth largest U.S. education jurisdiction of about 35,000 employees, will speak next week to the HAWAI'I TELECOMMUNICATIONS ASSOCIATION. Moriyama's past experience also includes posts as vice president and chief information officer for The Queen's Health Systems, and, before that, as a 20-year veteran of IBM. He speaks at the HTCA luncheon meeting, 11:30 a.m. (registration)-1 p.m., Wednesday at the Hale Koa Hotel's Waikiki Showroom. Fee; nonmembers; registration waivers for some students.
