KAUA'I LAGOONS

Longtime Kaua'i resident and Marriott executive Brad Snyder has been named general manager of operations for Kaua'i Lagoons, the 520-acre oceanfront community overlooking the Kalapaki coastline. Snyder will oversee operation of the multi-faceted development of residential, time-share and leisure offerings managed by Marriott and The Ritz-Carlton, redesign of the Jack Nicklaus-designed Kiele Golf Course and introduction of new amenities such as a restaurant and full-service spa. Snyder has more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, beginning in 1976 as a bellman at the Newport Beach Marriott. He is a former general manager of the Kaua'i Marriott Resort & Beach Club and the JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa at Ko Olina.

SHERATON KEAUHOU BAY RESORT & SPA

Alberto Silva and Schack Von Rumohr have joined the management team at Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa on the Kona coast of the Big Island:

Silva, the new information technology/telecommunications manager, is responsible for all digital data at the 521-room resort as well as supervision of the communications staff, equipment and data upkeep, software and hardware upgrades and overall system maintenance. The Peru native is a former captain of the Peruvian national basketball team.

Von Rumohr, the new director of food and beverage, has worked at Hyatt, Wyndham, Marriott and Hilton hotels in the Caribbean, including Aruba, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas and the Dominican Republic. He was recently director of food and beverage at the Hilton Oceanfront Resort on Hilton Head Island, S.C. At Keauhou's 22 oceanfront acres, he will oversee the Kai Restaurant, Manta Ray Bar & Grill, Crystal Blue Lounge, the resort's culinary operations and the catering and banquet departments.

SUB-ZERO/WOLF

Jamie Saulibio has been promoted to Hawai'i logistics manager for Sub-Zero/Wolf, overseeing the company's new parts division. Since 1993, Sub-Zero has had a local distributor and full servicing facility — distribution and service of the Wolf line of cooking appliances was added in 1999. Sub-Zero/Wolf has 16 authorized dealers and 20 authorized service agencies statewide.
