TURTLE BAY
JROTC cadets meet top guns

Advertiser Staff

Kahuku High School JROTC students met members of the Air Force Thunderbirds and nine generals after their brunch Sunday at the Turtle Bay Resort.

Some 12 cadets, ages 14-17, were invited to meet and talk to the pilots, said 1st Sgt. Don Glover, who heads the JROTC program at Kahuku High & Intermediate School.

Glover said he was thrilled when Gen. Paul Hester, Pacific Air Forces commander, presented him with a four-star Airman coin.

"He presented it for my hard work with these young men and women," Glover said.
