Honolulu gas price jumps 11 cents a gallon

Average gasoline prices moved higher in Honolulu and Hilo this week, according to AAA Hawaii.In Honolulu the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded rose to $3.21, an 11-cent increase from a week earlier. In Hilo, the price climbed 2 cents to $3.21 also.
AAA reported a gallon of regular cost $3.56 in Wailuku, or 1 cent less than last week.
"Gas prices in Hawai'i have started to catch up with the price increases seen around the nation for the past few weeks," said AAA Hawaii Regional Manager Richard Velazquez, in a news release.
"Hawai'i and three other states have the highest state average prices in the nation at more than $3 a gallon."
