Advertiser Staff

Cal State Northridge handed the University of Hawaii women's soccer team its first loss of the season with a 2-1 double-overtime decision today in Northridge, Calif. Carrie Faith Murphy scored the winning goal in the 103rd minute to give the Matadors (2-4-1) the come-from-behind win over the Rainbow Wahine (5-1-1).

UH took a 1-0 lead into halftime on Nicole Mikula's first career goal. The Matadors tied the game at 1 with 1:12 left in regulation.

The match was the first time UH scored less than two goals in a match. It was also UH's fifth straight road loss, dating back to last season.

UH faces No. 7 UCLA Sunday in Los Angeles.
